Taking her passion further she went on to study creative writing, scriptwriting and later, decided to branch out into directing when the need to tell a story visually became just as important as writing them, taking courses at Raindance and Met Film School. As a keen filmmaker and loving the collaborative nature of the industry, Muriel also freelances as a 1st AD when not creating her own projects. Working on projects aired on ITV2, TraceTV, BET and BBC amongst others. An LFF award-winning writer herself Muriel, occasionally works with new writers, helping to develop and strengthen scripts and concepts.
